Twinson premium cladding from Deeplas has been used to add a suitable slick aesthetic to the entrance area of York Motor Sports Village.

An existing 5m_ aluminium window at the venue had been allowing rainwater to enter the wall and subsequent into the building and the owner’s therefore commissioned JMD Developments to remedy the problem.

A decision was subsequently taken to clad the top and bottom parts of the window aperture to create an elongated glazed area at shoulder height in the middle that accentuated the contemporary design of the Twinson boards.
“Not only did the Twinson cladding help address the problem of the large, vulnerably exposed window to water ingress, it created a striking modern aesthetic around our entrance area,” said Phil Hannington at York Motor Sports Village. “We’ve already had customers asking about the cladding as they would like to fit it on their properties. Retaining one third of the opening as a window still allows high levels of natural daylight into our reception area.”
